Although the troops on land were fully dependent on the maritime front, few works have provided an answer to the question: "But what did the French navy do during the war of 14?". It is however, of all the armies of the Republic, the only one to have fought in all elements: at sea of course, but also below, on land and in the air, and with little more than 165,000 men, and yet its role remains unknown. This book is therefore addressed to new generations, so that they know what these "obscure" people, forgotten by history, accomplished during the Great War.
