Very Rare Victorian Photo Album with Cabinet Cards

Description

Very rare Victorian leather bound photo album.  Extremely hard to find them in this condition.  Have had this beauty for years, but time to let it go.  Raised and gilded binding with ebonized accents.  Brass clasps and white embellishments on front and back.  Measures approximately 5 1/4" by 6" by 2 1/2".  Binding is tight.  Minor scuffs to the leather on the corners and looks like one tiny nail is missing on the front (see photo).  Has eight small cabinet cards inside but mostly empty.  Frames are in fairly good condition with a few small tears to some of them.  Openings are various shapes.  Register is unmarked.  A really great piece in rare condition.
